A class of display device described as "POV" is one that composes an image by displaying one spatial portion at a time in rapid succession. A 2 dimensional POV display is often accomplished by means of rapidly moving a single row of LEDs along a linear or circular path. The effect is that the image is perceived as a whole by the viewer as long as the entire path is completed during the visual persistence time of the human eye. A further effect is often to give the illusion of the image floating in mid-air. A 3 dimensional POV display is often constructed using a 2D grid of LEDs which is swept or rotated through a volume. POV display devices can be used in combination with long camera exposures to produce light writing
Media Go has many features that can be used to manage and synchronise content. Advanced functionality allows music to be tagged with SensMe metadata, and support for track ratings and purchases that can be made from the PlayStation Store, Sony Ericsson's PlayNow Arena or select partner stores. Where applicable, Media Go will also automatically download and / or convert certain content ( e.g. a podcast ) into a suitable format. Media Go can also purchase, backup, and restore PlayStation Portable ( PSP ) games and other content, including digital comics; the ability to shop for and purchase PSP content from the PlayStation Store without a PSP connected to the host computer is now supported in current versions of Media Go
Ethanol can be used in petrol engines as a replacement for gasoline; it can be mixed with gasoline to any percentage. Based on results of the Primary School Leaving Examination, Singapore's students undergo secondary education in either the Special ( Abolished in 2008 ), Express, Normal streams or the Integrated Programme ( implemented in 2004 ) . Both the Special and Express are 4-year courses leading up to a Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ( GCE ) ' Ordinary ' - ' O ' level examination. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a fighting game which plays conceptually similar to that of Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. series. Up to four players can battle each other using characters from various Sony franchises such as God of War, PaRappa the Rapper and Sly Cooper, as well as third-party franchises like BioShock. There are, however, differences in how opponents are defeated. During the game, players damage other players to receive orbs that build up a power meter at the bottom of the screen. The Rock Band 3 Wireless Fender Precision Bass Controller features, as the actual guitar it is modeled after - a thumb rest. The strum bar is now a double-strum bar, for emulating realistic two-fingered bass playing. The Technicolor system uses the polarisation of light to separate the left and right eye images and for this they rent to exhibitors a combination splitter-polarizer-lens assembly which can be fitted to a lens turret in the same manner as an anamorphic lens. The Wii console contains 512 megabytes of internal flash memory, and features an SD card slot for external storage. An SD card can be used for uploading photos and backing up saved game data and downloaded Virtual Console and WiiWare games. To use the SD slot for transferring game saves, an update must be installed. Installation may be initiated from the Wii options menu through an Internet connection, or by inserting a game disc containing the update. Virtual Console data cannot be restored to any system except the unit of origin. An SD card can also be used to create customized in-game music from stored MP3 files and music for the slide-show feature of the Photo Channel. The ability for the players to create their own avatars was added in Guitar Hero World Tour, and was based on Neversoft's existing character creation tools from the Tony Hawk series. Later games on the Xbox 360 and Wii allowed players to use the respective console's avatars as members of the band. In addition to unlocking characters, in-game money can be used to buy clothing, accessories and instruments that they are seen playing with. The gravity-controlling mechanics can be used to fly through the air, walk on walls, and thrust devastating gravity kick attacks towards enemies. Remote Play allows the PSP to access many features of a PlayStation 3 console from a remote location using the PS3's WLAN capabilities, a home network, or the Internet. A keyboard instrument was introduced with Rock Band 3. Using a special adapter, players can use any MIDI-compatible keyboard to play such parts with the game. While system software updates can be used with consoles from any region, Sony recommends only downloading system software updates released for the region corresponding to the system's place of purchase. System software updates have added various features including a web browser, Adobe Flash Player 6 support, additional codecs for images, audio, and video, PlayStation 3 connectivity, as well as patches against several security exploits, vulnerabilities, and execution of homebrew programs. The battery must be at least 50% charged or else the system will prevent the update from installing. If the power supply is lost while writing to the system software, the console will no longer be able to operate unless the system is booted in service mode or sent to Sony for repair if still under warranty
Existing drum kits from Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and other games, including the ION electronic drum kits, can be used for Basic mode play in Rock Band 3. For Pro drums, a three cymbal-pad set is added to the core drum kit; notes on screen are marked as a rounded note instead of rectangular to indicate a cymbal hit instead of a drum hit. MadCatz and other manufacturers already produced a cymbal add-ons for Rock Band 2 drum kits, but introduced a new version with the release of Rock Band 3. In June 2005, Yaniv Shaked and Avishai Wool published a paper describing both passive and active methods for obtaining the PIN for a Bluetooth link. The passive attack allows a suitably equipped attacker to eavesdrop on communications and spoof, if the attacker was present at the time of initial pairing. The active method makes use of a specially constructed message that must be inserted at a specific point in the protocol, to make the master and slave repeat the pairing process. After that, the first method can be used to crack the PIN. This attack's major weakness is that it requires the user of the devices under attack to re-enter the PIN during the attack when the device prompts them to. Also, this active attack probably requires custom hardware, since most commercially available Bluetooth devices are not capable of the timing necessary
